Without a doubt, it’s best to avoid any of these locations during the Summer school holiday period. Typically, this ranges from late November to the end of January.

Therefore, avoid visiting any of these locations during this timeframe. Otherwise, the best time of year to visit these locations is February to April and October to late November.

Additionally, it’s best to avoid visiting these locations after heavy rainfall as the tracks will be slippery and muddy. Therefore, they will be tough to navigate, and you may have a fall.

  1. Phantom Falls

Phantom Falls is another fantastic waterfall near Lorne with a unique display of rock facings. Moreover, the trek to reach this location will take you on a 3.5km journey. However, the beauty of this waterfall is absolutely worth the effort.

Firstly, you will need to pass a private property and wander along the trail until you come upon the waterfall. Keep in mind, the bushland within this region is very dense making mobile service coverage minimal.

Watch the water trickle down the face of this magnificent cataract known as Henderson Falls. Firstly, the water creates a stunning veil-like effect while surrounded by ferns and moss.

Furthermore, while there isn’t much of a pool at the base of the falls, you can walk right up to the waterfall and allow the water to flow over you. Besides, it might be nice to splash some water on your face or get your hair wet.
