Do you need access to restaurants and convenience stores? If so, it’s best to stay within the Eastern Grampians region or Halls Gap for walking distance to shops.

Northern Grampians
Stapylton Campground
Based in the Northern Grampians region, Stapylton campground is the ideal location for larger groups. For instance, six of the campsites can accommodate 12-16 people and, the campground is considered one of the best Grampians camping sites.
Firstly, this large Grampians campground is the perfect way to enjoy company with family and friends in a gorgeous setting. Also, enjoy the trickling sound of Potter Creek adjacent to the campground. Later, watch the sandstone cliffs light up gold at sunset.
Not far off is Ngamadjidj shelter, the 300m walk will lead you to a fence where you can view fascinating Aboriginal rock art.
Additionally, there are bigger hikes close by, such as Mount Stapylton and Hollow Mountain. These walks require a significant fitness level and might not be suitable for children

Firstly, the Halls Gap Caravan Park has easy accessibility from School Road and is effortless to navigate. Simultaneously, this campground is great for kids as there are playground facilities available across the road.
Later, stop in at Paper scissors rock, Halls Gap tavern or one of the many other restaurants to savour a delicious meal. Also, be sure to visit the Halls Gap Visitor information centre to plan your trip and chat with a local.
Additionally, there are campsites and a range of cabins from budget to deluxe to suit your travel style.
To begin your adventure, visit Venus Baths and the Halls Gap botanical garden, which have simple access from the caravan park. Alternatively, hike up to the Pinnacle for a challenging yet rewarding journey.

Renowned for being one of the best Grampians camping sites is the Halls Gap Lakeside tourist park. This campground offers a truly luxurious experience on a budget.
Situated only four kilometres from Halls Gap town centre, this caravan park is the perfect base for your trip to the Grampians.
For those uninterested in fiddling around with camping gear, indulge in a glamping experience in a safari or bell tent.
Spend time after dinner relaxing in the camp lounge or watch the kids play on the trampolines.
In addition to all the fantastic amenities, backed onto the campground is Lake Bellfield, a vast man-made reservoir. Also, be sure to check out Fyans Creek, which runs alongside the tourist park.
Enjoy chasing waterfalls with close access to Silverband Falls. This breathtaking waterfall displays an incredible natural phenomenon worth visiting.

Nestle into a piece of paradise at Borough Huts Campground. This Grampians campground is situated alongside Fyans Creek and is easy to reach by any vehicle.
First off, start by exploring the campground and surroundings. In fact, Lake Bellfield and Silverband falls are only a short drive away and, there are plenty of walking trails around the campground.
For the more adventurous, complete a hike up to Mount Rosea. The 10.4km hike will test your fitness skills and will honour you with expansive views across the Grampians.

Settle into camp at Wannon Crossing campground beneath a shaded eucalypt forest. However, there aren’t many campsites available at this park and, it operates on a first-serve basis.
While enjoying the serenity of this Grampians campground, be sure to explore the area around the campsite. Wander down to Wannon River, which snakes behind the campground; There may be a possibility of catching dinner for the night.
Visit Grampians Valley lookout at sunrise or sunset for epic views over the region. Then, take a walk on Lynch’s track for some morning exploring.
Lastly, prepare for a hike up Mount Abrupt, which isn’t far from camp. Also, don’t forget to bring a camera as there are plenty of marvellous photo opportunities.

Boreang campground is one of the most popular yet secluded Grampians camping sites within the national park. Firstly, the campground provides the perfect base for those willing to explore what the region offers.
Secondly, there are a couple of walking trails to explore from camp, such as the Phillip Island track and Moora Moora track.
Alternatively, if you’d prefer to visit the typical tourist attractions, check out The Balconies’ Reed Lookout for expansive views over the Grampians and later visit Burrong Falls to rejuvenate.
