There are a number of Ubud waterfalls that you need to visit while exploring this beautiful corner of Bali. Not to mention, they provide the perfect day trip from Bali and are set among some stunning rainforest and jungle landscapes
I explored these Bali waterfalls while spending time in Ubud and I’m so glad I did! They were stunningly beautiful and a gorgeous way to see more of the nature aspect of Bali.
Many people tend to hang around Canggu and Seminyak, but if you go a little further, you’ll get to enjoy these natural wonders.

Where is Ubud?
Ubud is a stunning little town in the rainforest region of Bali. Moreover, Ubud is surrounded by many gorgeous rice fields, incredibly old trees, waterfalls and temples; It’s like stepping foot in paradise!
Ubud is about an hour’s drive north of Denpasar. And, it’s reasonably easy to reach with most of the road heading straight towards the blissful little town.
Is Ubud worth visiting?
Ubud has become one of the tourist hot spots in Bali, and for a good reason! It’s a stunning location and very different from the rest of Bali. The canopies of trees are simply beautiful and the entire area has an incredible tropic/rainforest charm.
This gorgeous location is absolutely worth a visit and I believe every traveller needs to stop by at least once when holidaying or travelling in Bali.
The 7 Best Ubud Waterfalls
Manuaba Waterfall
Manuaba waterfall is an absolute gem in Ubud. And, there are two waterfalls you can enjoy while visiting this epic rainforest location.
Firstly, you need to park your scooter at the gravel parking lot and then walk up the hill towards the donation shelter. Here, you will pay a small fee of 10K Kip and then you can wander down the track towards the first waterfall.
Take it slow on the steps as they can be extremely slippery! After wandering for about 500m you will come upon the first waterfall. Take a moment to enjoy the beauty before crossing over the large rocks carefully before heading up the track further.
Follow the narrow dirt track and climb the cliff. From here, you will need to turn right and follow the rice paddies. Later, you will take another right in between the paddies to scour down a track for the stunning Manuaba waterfall.
The waterfall is large and powerful, and you can enjoy a dip in the water if you wish. Spend some time here before making the return trip back to your scooter.

Tibumana Waterfall
A short 10-minute walk will land you at the stunning Tibumana Waterfall in Ubud. Not to mention, you will get to wander alongside gorgeous rice fields, palm trees and jungle to reach the waterfall; Simply paradise!
And, Tibumana Waterfall looks like something out of a fairy tale. It has a single drop with a small veil of water flowing directly into the pool below. The rocks are covered in moss and other tropical plants. It’s truly a beautiful sight!

Pengempu Waterfall
Pengempu Waterfall appears as a perfect oasis. Moreover, the waterfall daintily cascades among the large towering rocks and the area is surrounded by gorgeous tropical plants.
It appears to be a stunningly soft veil of water and is beautiful for any long-exposure photographers out there. Not to mention, you can wander into the shallow pools if you wish for a refreshing dip.

Leke Leke Waterfall
My favourite of all the waterfalls in Ubud is easily Leke Leke Falls. Seriously, this waterfall is insanely impressive and stunningly gorgeous. It really is its own masterpiece and I feel so grateful to have experienced it.
However, keep in mind, you will need to ride some rough roads to reach this location and the hike to the base of the falls is pretty intense. It can become really slippery during the wet season and the mud is really thick to walk through!
Nonetheless, upon arrival at the waterfall, is like stepping foot into paradise. There are so many gorgeous tropical plants and flowers surrounding the area and the waterfall simply cascades into a stunning blue pool at the base.
I highly recommend allowing a few hours to hike and explore this waterfall. Besides, the hike back to the car park is quite an effort!

Skcript Waterfall
Skcript Waterfall is actually one of the more hidden and off-the-beaten-track waterfalls of Ubud. Therefore, making it an awesome location to check out before it becomes mainstream and popular.
Not to mention, you actually need to go through the cafe in order to reach the waterfall. And, you can enjoy the waterfall on a platform with direct views. Or, sit up in the cafe, enjoy a drink and some food and have a lovely bird’s eye view of the waterfall.
Finally, this is a great activity for families travelling Bali and it’s a safe way to explore a waterfall.

Suwat Waterfall
Suwat Waterfall is yet another stunning waterfall in Ubud that every traveller needs to visit. Moreover, the waterfall is a single drop with a beautiful wide cascade that flows directly into the pool at the base.
Not to mention, the pool at the base is quite large, and you can go for a swim if you wish. There is also a bamboo raft if you would like to float along the water!
I highly recommend stopping over at this location as it’s one of the best waterfalls in Ubud and is a great location to relax for an hour or so.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall
The Kanto Lampo Waterfall takes an interesting turn on all the waterfalls in Ubud. Moreover, this one is a little bit more unique as it’s a much wider waterfall with a large number of tiers.
The water glides effortlessly over the dark rocks and creates a beautiful contrast that appears extremely magical.
It’s quite an impressive waterfall and definitely one of the best in Ubud. Not to mention, the locals are really friendly and are more than happy to assist you with taking some photos at the waterfall. Please give them a kind tip to thank them for their efforts.

In conclusion, these are some of Ubud’s best waterfalls. And, I highly recommend that you add at least three of them to your itinerary when visiting the gorgeous rainforest town.
I was thoroughly impressed with all of these stunning cascades and will happily recommend them to all travellers of Bali. Besides, I think you need to experience at least a couple of them while visiting.
