Where is Datanla Waterfall?

Datanla Waterfall is an easy ride 10 minutes south of the city centre of Da Lat. It’s very easy to reach, the road is safe to drive along and the views throughout the forest are absolutely magnificent!

You will need to make use of highway QL20 and drive about 6km south of Da Lat to reach this natural theme park. If you are riding on a scooter, make sure that you stick to the right side of the road and signal other drivers when overtaking.

Finally, there is plenty of parking on a huge dirt patch just outside the theme park and you will need to pay a small fee of 10,000 VND to the parking officers.

If you aren’t confident riding to the location, you can hire a grab driver to take you there. This should only set you back around 100,000 VND, but prices are subject to the availability of drivers.

Things to Do When Visiting the Waterfall

Alpine Coaster

Without a doubt, one of the best activities to take part in before visiting the waterfall is the Alpine Coaster. Fly along the forest and reach speeds from 20-40km/h. And, you are in full control of the speed so you can go as slow or fast as you wish.

The forest is absolutely gorgeous and the coaster is the longest in South East Asia with an incredible track of 2.4km in length. Moreover, this gives you plenty of time to get your heart racing as you zoom through the forest!

Enjoy the Waterfall

Obviously, the main attraction of this location is the waterfall. So, spend some time enjoying the large amount of water rushing over the large boulders and rocks.

Not to mention, there are a couple of different vantage points that you can enjoy this waterfall from. Therefore, take your time exploring the different angles of the waterfall and snap some beautiful photos along the way.

Purchase Some Hand-Carved Memorabilia

When I visited, I came upon a lovely man who was seated at the base of the falls creating hand-carved wooden memorabilia. Moreover, there were loads of unique items including Buddhas and other various statues.

Be sure to support him by purchasing one of his bracelets, statues, or keyrings! They make for a lovely reminder of your trip to the falls.

And, it’s awesome to watch him in action has he creates some of the handmade goods. He uses all the tools onsite and slowly carves new pieces to add to his shop collection!

High Ropes Course

Another one of the best activities to take part in is the high ropes course. Moreover, you can try your hand at seven sections of the course all ranging in different difficulties. And, you can enjoy a beautiful zipline through the forest.

Besides, this is a great way to test your physical ability and put your body to work while you climb your way through the gorgeous treetops of Da Lat.
